Sandblasting the Dust off This thing.
I received a comment from an ol' 'berry friend. I guess I didn't realize people were still reading this thing. Plus, things have been painfully busy. Everything's moving along... at warp speed. The weddin' is 3 months away from next week. The house is coming along. Next weekend we'll have the third room done. This weekend we really made headway. What else is one supposed to so when the literal ice storm of the century blows in? i've become an expert in wall prep and sanding. We've discovered I'm not good for spackling since I tend to overdo it and then we have to chip it off rather than sand.
So the ice storm...quite unbelievable really. It's the freakin' tundra outside. It kind of reminds of the Care Bears Frozen forest movie. I seem to remember a evil man that turned everything frozen by a single touch. Also has a Narnia-esque feeling from the pictures of the surrounding counties. I took the long way in this morning and it was kind of freaky once I realized that the tires track ridges were solid ice and I ricocheted back and forth btw tracks. In a nutshell, things are good. Bring it on. 2007, I come.
Survey Thingy Stolen from an old friend's blog:
1.) If you had to choose one vice in exclusion of all others what would it be? laziness without guilt... once in awhile.
2.) If you could change one specific thing about the world what would it be? No more war.
3.) Name the cartoon character you identify with the most. Maggie on the Simpsons
4.) If you could live one day in your life over again which one would it be? My engagement. One of the best days of my life so far.
5.) If you could go back in history and spend a day with one person who would it be? My grandpa.
6.) What is the one thing you lost, sold or threw away that you wish you could have back? My dvd/vcr combo. It was stolen right out of my apt. I look at it as a sign that perhaps it wasn't mine to begin with and Karma got it... but damn it... it was really nice. Oh. my subscription to the Sunday New York Times. I can't justify the expense right now and I have no time to read it. Can't wait for April.
7.) What is your one most important contribution to this world? So far?
8.) What is your one hidden talent that nearly no one knows about?
9.) What is your most cherished possession? Philosophically - Life. Literally - the medals I wear everyday and my ring.
10.) What one person influenced your life the most when growing up? Apparently, my mom.
11.) What one word describes you better than any other? Non sequitur
